Spinfest Midwest Car Show is Cleveland’s fastest growing car show, which is in its fifth consecutive year and has grown larger each year. In 2008 there were 520 cars, trucks, and motorcycles which brought 7,500 plus people each day from all over the Midwest. This event is held for two days at Voinovich Park behind the Rock & Roll of Fame. Entertainment is provided by Ohio’s hottest DJ, DJ E-V who supplies the music for the local artists to perform for the crowds! Spinfest has games, giveaways, competitions, and a variety of amazing foods, ranging from barbeque ribs served to you by B & M Bar B Que to Hispanic cuisine provided by El Latino restaurant. There is something for everyone, from the young to the young at heart. Willo Security and Citywide Protection will be providing security along with the Cleveland Police Department.

Spinfest is a benefit car show for the Eddie Johnson Memorial Foundation (ejmemorialfoundation.org) to raise money for cancer research. If you are not aware of who Eddie Johnson is, he is former Cleveland Brown better known as “The Assassin” #51, who lost his battle to colon cancer on January 21, 2003 at the age of 43. Eddie Johnson is gone, but he will never be forgotten. Cancer has affected all of us in some way, this disease does not care if you’re black, white, young, old, rich or poor. Spinfest raised $5000.00 toward this cause.

Now that you have a little bit of background on our event, we are now asking for the help of your business as well as others in our community to make it grow to what we believe can be the largest car show in the state. This is one of the many efforts that we are making to bring a little life back into Cleveland and bring business to our sponsors and establishments around our beautiful city. Spinfest has been held around July 4th weekend and will continue to be as long as we are able to do so. This year Spinfest will be held on TBA. We are starting preparations early this year to ensure that this event will be a success for 2009.
